Alexandria Pet Of The Week: Energetic Nyla Helps With Fitness Goals
If you're making a fitness-minded New Year's resolution, Nyla can motivate you with her eagerness to play outdoors.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — There's still time to adopt a pet fee-free at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria for the Home for the Pawlidays event.
During December, fees have been pre-paid for adult pets at the animal shelter thanks to Priority Automotive. One of the available pets is Nyla, a dog who still has energy beyond her puppy stage. She'd love to enjoy outdoor time and learning more tricks.

Nyla, 16-month-old Female Tan and White Dog
Whether your New Year's resolution is to be more active or just always see the brighter side of life, Nyla is a pup who can help you keep your goals. At 16 months old, Nyla is out of her puppy stage and into her peppy stage, and she loves all kinds of activities from playing with toys to running around the yard to learning new skills; in fact, during her time at the AWLA, she's already learned some pretty nifty tricks, including Sit and even Spin.
Nyla's looking for a family that fits with her outdoorsy lifestyle and can help her continue her learning, so she has a whole repertoire of tricks up her sleeves. Maybe you might even take up a sport together, like running or agility. Nyla thinks that with her human best friend(s) by her side, she is capable of anything.
As part of the AWLA's Home for the Pawlidays adoption event, Nyla's adoption fees have been paid through the end of the month by Priority Automotive, so schedule time to meet her by emailing Adopt@AlexandriaAnimals.org or calling 703.746.4774 (opt. 2).
