Del Ray Vs. Old Town: Neighborhood Rivalry Reignited In Softball Game
As the Del Ray vs. Old Town Softball Game returns, the neighborhood rivalry series is tied 2-2. Who are you rooting for?

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Neighborhood pride comes into play as the Del Ray vs. Old Town Softball Game returns for a fifth year.
The annual game is a friendly competition between the neighborhoods at Eugene Simpson Park, 426 E. Monroe Avenue. On Thursday, May 25. Del Ray and Old Town will look to take a lead in the series, as it's currently tied 2-2.
No matter which neighborhood comes out on top, the true winner is the Alexandria Little League. The softball game is a fundraiser for the little league, which has a mission of teaching children "good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority" through its sports programs. A gift basket of gift cards to Del Ray businesses totaling $1,000 or more will be raffled off to benefit the Alexandria Little League.
