Man Drowns In Four Mile Run Stream At Alexandria-Arlington Border
Multiple jurisdictions responded to a drowning Monday in Four Mile Run near Richmond Highway.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A man died drowning in the Four Mile Run stream at the Alexandria-Arlington Monday, according to the Alexandria Police Department.
Authorities received a call about a drowning in the 3900 block of Richmond Highway, which in Alexandria just past the Arlington County border. The fire department's water rescue team found and removed the man from the water. EMS personnel unsuccessfully attempted to revive the man, and he was pronounced dead on the scene. The man was identified as Tewodros Teferi, 52.
Police do not suspect foul play in the drowning but continue to investigate. Multiple jurisdictions had responded, including the Alexandria Fire Department, Arlington County Police Department, Arlington County Fire Department, and D.C. Metropolitan Police.
