Congregation Can Stay at Truro Until June 2013

Truro Church and Episcopal Diocese reach an agreement.

Congregation Can Stay at Truro Until June 2013

The Truro congregation gets another year at its church facilities in Fairfax City according to a statement released this afternoon.

Truro and the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia agreed on a settlement after five years of emotional litigation. The settlement gives the congregation rent-free use of Truro Church until June 30, 2013. In return, the diocese gets to use an area of the church as needed and will receive $50,000 in liquid assets claims from the congregation.
