Car Fire Reported On Interstate 66 In Arlington

BREAKING: Firefighters are on scene of a car fire reported on Interstate 66.

(Updated 5:30 p.m.) ARLINGTON, VA — A car fire was reported on eastbound 66 at mile marker 69 in Arlington County. The car was stopped on the left shoulder and closed one travel lane for some time. The Virginia Department of Transportation said the lanes were all clear around 5:25 p.m.

Firefighters are responding on the scene. Fairfax County Fire and Rescue spokesperson Ashley Hildebrandt could not confirm if any injuries have been reported. Follow Patch for more updates on this breaking news story.
