City of Falls Church and Fairfax Water to Host Town Hall Meetings on Water System Sale
The City of Falls Church and Fairfax Water, will host two Town Hall Meetings about the pending sale of the City's water system.

Representatives from both organizations will be on hand to share information on the system, the sale, and the transition at each meeting.

In November 2012, an agreement was reached by the City, Fairfax Water, and Fairfax County on the terms of sale for the City's Water Utility to Fairfax Water, according to the City of Falls Church. This agreement depends on approval of a referendum by the voters of the City of Falls Church to take place on November 5. If the referendum passes, the Sales Agreement between the City, Fairfax Water, and Fairfax County will proceed to closing on or about January 3, 2014.

The meetings will take place on September 28 from 10 a.m. to noon and October 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Community Center. For more information about the sale, visit www.fallschurchva.gov/WaterSale.
