Thunderstorms are expected in the Fredericksburg area Sunday evening, including the counties of Spotsylvania, Stafford and King George, the National Weather Service reported. Some of the storms may produce locally damaging wind gusts and large hail.
A small craft advisory is in effect for the tidal Potomac River until 8 p.m.
There is an 80 percent chance of showers Monday, with accumulations expected of only a quarter inch. A high near 80 is predicted; low near 57.
Tuesday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 79 and a low around 57.
