Shoplifting Pair Make Off With Wardrobe-Sized Heist at Old Navy

Old Navy might have some great deals, but nothing is free — unless you’re looking for a criminal record.

Investigators are looking for two women suspected in a large shoplifting heist Monday night.

Officers responded at 7:15 p.m. to the store at 1260 Carl D. Silver Parkway.

An employee reported that two unknown females stole a large amount of merchandise.

The suspects were described as

• a black female with long braids, approximately 5’9” to 5’11”, 180 to 210 pounds. She was wearing a white tank top and denim shorts.
• a white female, approximately 5’3” to 5’5”, 140 to 160 pounds. She was wearing denim shorts and a black tank top.

Larceny:

• 700 block Sophia Street, 7/20, 8:30 p.m. A city resident reported that an unknown person stole his wallet from his unlocked vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
• VRE parking lot, 399 Prince Edward Street, 7/20, 1:00 p.m. A Spotsylvania resident reported that an unknown person stole the date sticker from his license plate. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Vandalism:

• 900 block Kenmore Avenue, 7/20, 1:45 p.m. A patrol officer discovered that an unknown person used spray paint to mark graffiti on the back of a yield sign. The graffiti appeared to be a tag. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
