Around 8:30 p.m. Monday, police responded to a shoplifting in progress at the Walmart on 217 Garrisonville Road. The store's loss prevention officer already detained Dellinger, who was accused of stealing a coffee maker, a radio and Freon canisters.
Police questioned him about that, as well as the theft of a steam cleaner the previous day. He gave them a bogus social security number, and then, after watching footage from security cameras, police say he admitted to taking all the items.

But the footage also showed another man, Huffman, who, according to police, entered the store with Dellinger and appeared to be fully complicit in the alleged crime. He left the store and drove away in a blue Subaru Outback.
He was arrested the next day in the 3200 block of Aquia Drive in Aquia Harbour.
