17 Arrested in Police Dragnet Against Prostitution

Herndon police team up with Fairfax County's Organized Crime and Narcotics Division in operation.

The Herndon police and Fairfax County police conducted a joint operation Friday to crack down on prostitution in the area.

The operation resulted in 17 men being charged with solicitation of prostitution, according to the town police’s weekly report, released Tuesday afternoon. All of the men were released on summonses; their names were not released.

The investigation involved “the use of on-line websites,” the police report added, but it did not elaborate. The town police worked with the Fairfax County Police Department’s Organized Crime and Narcotics Division in the operation.

The arrests took place in the 100 block of Spring Street, near the interchange with the Fairfax County Parkway on the east side of town.
