A fire late Saturday night has displaced one Herndon family.

A supervisor for Fairfax County Fire and Rescue said a call came in shortly after 10:30 p.m. Saturday reporting a fire in a single-family home in the 400 block of Queens Row Street, near the corner of Trinity Gate Street.

There were no injuries, but there is extensive damage to the home, the supervisor said.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, and the department is investigating. More information may be available Monday, the supervisor said.

Herndon Patch readers took to  our Facebook page to share what they saw and try to find more information on the family.

Facebook fan Stefanie Moen said, "What happened off of Herndon Parkway tonight? Fire at a house, or cars? Is the family OK?"

Kendra Ratliff Green posted, "Sounds like a bad fire off of the Herndon Parkway near Runnymede Park. Hearing scanner chatter. Any news? Sounds like occupants are out of the house."

Colleen Carty posted, "I hope no one got hurt."
