Major Herndon Highway Shuts Down Briefly After Vehicle Fire: Police
Authorities closed the northbound lanes of the Fairfax County Parkway for a brief time on Tuesday due to a vehicle fire.
HERNDON, VA — A vehicle fire in Herndon forced police to shut down the northbound lanes of Fairfax County Parkway for a short period of time on Tuesday.
"Vehicle fire closes northbound Fairfax County Parkway just north of Franklin Farm Road," Fairfax County Police tweeted just before 11 a.m. "Use caution and yield to first responders."
The scene appears to have been cleared, as current traffic maps indicate that there aren't any slowdowns in that area Tuesday afternoon.
