Comcast this week rolled out more exciting ways for new XFINITY TV customers in Virginia to enjoy their favorite programs on more devices anywhere, anytime.
The company has introduced its new X1 DVR with cloud technology as well as live in-home streaming. With these enhancements and while in their homes, local XFINITY TV customers now have flexibility to:
· Watch their DVR recordings on their mobile devices;
· “Check out” DVR recordings by downloading them directly to a mobile device for watching on-the-go outside of the home; and,
· Access the X1 interface, and live stream practically their entire channel lineup as well as XFINITY On Demand choices to Internet-connected devices.
To deliver these new streaming and download features to Xfinity TV customers, Comcast has launched a new Xfinity TV app for iOS and Android tablets and smartphones as well as a dedicated portal for viewing on computers. Once signed-in, customers may begin browsing their full channel lineup in the Guide, access thousands of free movies and TV shows via Xfinity On Demand or scan available recordings for download in the Saved menu.
Comcast’s X1 entertainment operating system combines customized apps, social media features and traditional video services to deliver a personalized and dynamic TV entertainment experience.
