Margaret Ann Slayton, 63
Margaret Ann Slayton, 63, of Manassas, died May 5, 2014 at her home. 

Born January 16, 1951, in Culpeper, VA, she was the daughter of the late Allie C. Deal and Annie L. Edwards Deal. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Deal, by one son, Douglas Wayne Slayton on February 3, 2009; and two brothers, Donnie and Lonnie Deal. Survivors include her loving husband Ernest Slayton of Manassas; one son, Duane D. Slayton and his wife Julie of Orange Co.; one daughter, Patricia Kiger and her husband Mark of Fredericksburg; two step-sons, Donald Slayton of Woodbridge; Darron Slayton of Harrisonburg; one step-daughter, Jeanette Hoover of Culpeper; four sisters, Barbara Booth of Manassas; Debbie Dove of North Carolina; Brenda Powers and her husband Howard of South Carolina; Hilda Baker of Front Royal; four grandchildren, Emily, Michelle, Christopher and Angie; two great-grandchildren, Alicia and Kaylee; and several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Rd. Manassas. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, with Pastor James Bowers officiating. Interment will follow in Buckhall Cemetery, Manassas, VA. 

There will be a celebration of life following Interment at Manassas Moose Lodge #1380, 9305 Brentsville Road, Manassas.

Memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to the Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22331 or charity of your choice.
