Medical Emergency Considered As Cause Of Fatal Crash: Police
A Subaru Forester was traveling south on Route 29 near Warrenton when it ran off the right side of the road and overturned.
FAUQUIER COUNTY, VA — Virginia State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash south of Warrenton in Fauquier County that killed one person. The crash occurred Wednesday at 2:50 p.m. on Route 29 (James Madison Highway) at Route 744 (Lovers Lane).
A 2019 Subaru Forester was traveling south on Route 29 when it ran off the right side of the road, collided with a guard rail and overturned. The driver of the Subaru, Gregory M. Stone, 60, of Standardsville, was transported to Fauquier Hospital where he later died.
A medical emergency is being considered as a factor in the crash, the state police said.
