Garage Fire Damages Classic Car In McLean Home

MCLEAN, VA — A garage fire at a McLean home damaged a classic car on Sunday, July 28, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue. There were no injuries.

Firefighters responded to a two-story home in the 6700 block of Osborn Street around 5:08 p.m. Sunday. Crews found smoke coming from the garage and quickly extinguished the fire.

No one was home when the fire broke out. A passerby had noticed smoke in the garage and called 911.

Damages are estimated to be $60,000. Aside from the car, a vehicle lift system sustained damage. The residents declined Red Cross assistance.
