Catherine Overberg recently was awarded the Cal Ripken attendance award by McLean High's Ellen Reilly; through the years she has skipped Senior Skip Day (in order to play in a big softball game).

“It’s in me to show up,” she said. “It’s what I’ve built my character on. I’m that friend you can rely on.”
