Hurricane Sandy passed through Northern Virginia last night, sparing much of Oakton from power outages or downed trees.

But the storm did leave a little bit of a mark, and we're asking you to send us your photos of the Sandy's aftermath in Oakton. Add your pictures above and talk to us in the comments.

For downed trees posing hazard to public areas, call the Fairfax County Urban Forestry at 703-324-1770 or TTY 703-324-1877. For tree removal in non-emergency situations, call one of the following departments:

  • Virginia Department of Transportation, 800-FOR-ROAD or TTY 711, for trees adjacent to public roads.
  • Fairfax County Park Authority, 703-324-8594 or TTY 703-324-3988, for trees downed on county parkland.
