$100,000 Jackpot In VA Lottery Game Claimed By Alexandria Woman
A lottery ticket bought in Alexandria won a $100,000 jackpot using randomly-selected numbers.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A $100,000 winning jackpot for a lottery game was claimed in Alexandria, according to the Virginia Lottery.
Alexandria resident Polly Flores knew immediately she won the jackpot when checking the Jan. 7 Cash 5 with EZ Match drawing. Her winning ticket came from the Friendly Mart at 2727 Duke Street in Alexandria.
Cash 5 with EZ Match has a rolling jackpot starting at a $100,000 minimum. Flores won the jackpot by using computer-generated random numbers — 9-28-32-33-34 — to match the five winning numbers.

Flores plans to use the winnings to pay bills.
According to the Virginia Lottery, the chances of winning the jackpot are 1 in 749,398. Participants who spend an extra dollar receive five random numbers with a chance to win $500 for each winning number on their ticket.
