7-Year-Old Pedestrian Injured In Alexandria Crash: Police

Alexandria Police are investigating a Saturday crash that sent a juvenile pedestrian to the hospital.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A 7-year-old pedestrian was struck in a crash Saturday in Alexandria, according to the police department.

The crash happened around 1:02 p.m. in the 400 block of North Armistead Street, which is in the West End. Police say a blue SUV struck the 7-year-old boy in an apartment complex parking lot. The boy was taken to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries.

The driver remained on the scene. The police department's Crash Reconstruction Team continues to the crash.
