Carjacked Vehicle Strikes Police Cruiser In Alexandria, Officer Injured

A police officer was sent to a hospital after a carjacked vehicle from Arlington crashed into a police cruiser Thursday.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A police officer was injured when a carjacked vehicle struck a police cruiser in Alexandria Thursday morning.

Before 5 a.m., Alexandria Police said they were responding to a vehicle pursuit after a carjacking reported by Arlington County Police. According to Alexandria Police, the suspect crashed the stolen car into a police cruiser in the area of N. Quaker Lane and Preston Road.

A police officer had minor injuries and was being taken to the hospital. The suspect was not injured but was arrested on the scene.
