Christmas Eve Homicide In Northwest DC Kills Alexandria Man

WASHINGTON, DC — Metropolitan Police are investigating a homicide Christmas Eve in Northwest DC with an Alexandria man as the victim.

Around 12:54 a.m., police had responded to the 3600 block of Georgia Avenue NW for a report of gunshots. Police found two adult men with apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene and found one of the victims had no signs of life.

The deceased victim was identified as Richard Antonio Joseph, 50 of Alexandria. His body was taken to the medical examiner. The other victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Metropolitan Police are offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest an conviction of a suspect in homicides. Anyone with information can call police at 202-727-9099 or text an anonymous tip to 50411.
