Bank Robbery Prompts Police Response Blocks From Alexandria Waterfront

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria Police continue to investigate a bank robbery in Old Town Thursday morning.

The robbery was reported around 9:57 a.m. in the 100 block of South Fairfax Street, which is where a Burke & Herbert bank is located several blocks from the waterfront. According to a police spokesperson, a suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.

A suspect description was not immediately available. The investigation remains active.
