Fatal Shooting Of 15-Year-Old Investigated In Alexandria

A 15-year-old's fatal shooting is being investigated as a suspicious death, according to Alexandria Police.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The fatal shooting of a 15-year-old in Alexandria Saturday is now being investigated as a suspicious death, according to police.

The shooting happened around 11:47 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of South Whiting Street. Alexandria Police responded to a call about a potential shooting and found the 15-year-old inside a residence with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he died of his injuries.

The cause and manner of death will be determined by the medical examiner's autopsy.
