Residential Fire Injures Firefighter In Old Town Alexandria

The Alexandria Fire Department responded to a residential building fire Wednesday afternoon.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The Alexandria Fire Department is responding to a fire in Old Town Alexandria Wednesday afternoon.

Units responded to a residential building in the 200 block of S. Fairfax Street. There were no resident injuries, but one firefighter was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Some units remained on scene after the fire was extinguished. Fire marshals were on scene to conduct an investigation into the fire's cause.
