Stabbing In Northwest DC Leads To Charge For Alexandria Man

An Alexandria man was arrested and charged for a Wednesday stabbing, according to Metropolitan Police.

WASHINGTON, DC — An Alexandria man was charged after a stabbing in Northwest DC Wednesday, according to Metropolitan Police.

Police had responded to the 900 block of 23rd Street NW around 3:14 a.m. Wednesday. According to police, the suspect and victim were having an argument, and the suspect took out a knife and attempted to stab the victim.

Responding officers arrested the suspect, William Benbow, 47, of Alexandria. He was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
