Movie Theaters Lure Customers with Luxe Amenities

You can’t beat the convenience of Reston’s Bowtie Cinemas, their $6 Super Tuesday prices or their luxury leather rocking seats.

AMC Worldgate 9 in Herndon recently upgraded and has been basking in glowing reviews for its reclining seats, bar and healthy snacks like hummus and indulgences like Godiva chocolates or making your own ICEEs.

The amenities just seem to keep coming at new movie theaters, tempting customers out of their homes with everything from king-size leather recliners to Cinnabon bites and chicken wings.

That’s just what you’ll find at the brand-new Regal Dulles Town Center 10, officially opening Thursday, but not before three days of $3 movies, $3 small drinks and $3 small popcorns, with all money raised going to local charities.

Here are the $3 movies showing through Wednesday:

They’ll also be showing some holiday favorites:

• Christmas Vacation (PG) 12, 3, 6:30, 9 p.m.
• Die Hard 2 (R) 7:20, 10:20 p.m.
• Home Alone (PG) 12:45, 3:30, 7, 9:45 p.m.
• Polar Express (G) 1:15, 4 p.m.

The weekend movie schedule has not yet been released and you’ll have to purchase your tickets at the theater for the preview films.
