Restonians Organizing Protest Against Paid Parking at RTC
Dozens of people have signed on for a protest march at RTC next month.

RESTON, VA — Some angry Reston residents are organizing a protest against paid parking at Reston Town Center on March 4, and dozens have already indicated they're going.
It has now been a month since paid parking went into effect at RTC over the protests of many locals, and the situation has prompted current RTC tenants to consider filing a lawsuit against RTC manager Boston Properties.
Now, a recently launched Facebook event titled "Park Free RTC" has 82 people saying they are going and another 195 indicating interest as of Friday afternoon.

"It's been almost a month since RTC and Boston Properties has started Paid Parking and nobody is happy about that," the event's page states. "Also it is most expensive parking in Northern Virginia compare to any other malls and shopping centers. Now, Reston Town Center looks empty all restaurants, bars and local businesses are down. Reston town center parking been free for years and it should be forever."
The group plans to meet at Vapiano's at RTC, where participants will check in and get wrist bands. The event will be updated closer to the event with more details, the page adds.
