After serving on the council for the past 14 years, she said Tuesday that “it’s somebody else’s turn” to serve on the Council. Kelleher noted that she also plans to concentrate on her career at the Southeast Fairfax Development Corporation, where she is executive director.
Kelleher’s Town Council seat, as well as the Mayor’s position and two other Council Member seats are up for election this year. Mayor Laurie DiRocco and Council Members Linda Colbert and Pashda Majdi have all said they will seek re-election, according to the February Town of Vienna newsletter.

In addition to the incumbents running for office, three Vienna residents have reportedly stepped forward to run for a seat on the Council (residents have until March 1 to file petitions with 125 signatures):
- Doug Noble, a member of the Town of Vienna Planning Commission
- Craig Burns, lead pastor at Vienna Assembly of God
- Roy Baldwin, founder of The Baldwin Law Firm
No one has yet to announce a run against DiRocco for Mayor.
The top three vote-getters in the May 3 election will take three seats on the Town Council.
