On Sunday, Sept. 15, the Occoquan, Woodbridge, and Neabsco (O.W.N.) Optimist Club will be holding its inaugural Vintage Baseball Tournament at the P-Nat's stadium. This is baseball played by mid-19th century rules (e.g. no gloves).
The tournament will feature three clubs from the Mid-Atlantic Vintage Base Ball League, and one team of local players. Games are scheduled for 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. This is an open-house event, so show up at any time.
Tickets are $12, and free for children 12 and under, and can be purchased online
here, or at the gate on game day. This is a great opportunity for some interesting, historical, family fun -- and the stadium will be operating its concession stands.
