I-405 In Downtown Bellevue Open, Cleanup Continues
The accident happened around 5:15 a.m. Wednesday.

BELLEVUE, WA - The main lanes of I-405 in downtown Bellevue reopened just after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, although the off-ramp to Northeast 4th and 8th streets is still closed for cleanup.
I-405 was closed for several hours Wednesday morning after a semi overturned and split in half.

The accident happened around 5:15 a.m. Wednesday in downtown Bellevue and completely closed I-405 for about an hour. The left two lanes were reopened at the Main Street on-ramp around 6:15 a.m., but that didn't help traffic flow through the area.

The accident was causing delays as far back as SeaTac, with about a 7-mile backup, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. Around 8 a.m., crews were working to tow the semi off the road, but it was wedged between concrete overpass supports.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the accident.
