The annual Snowflake Lane has begun once again! Now, you’ll see many young people in colorful costumes walking the streets of downtown Bellevue , spreading holiday cheer. In fact, you might even know some of them! Annie Davis, a student from Interlake High School, had some exciting things to say about this year’s festivities:
Annie Davis, 17, Interlake High School
Q: What do you like most about being a snow princess?
A: I really enjoy being able to interact with the kids. When I am performing I am not Annie Davis, I’m a Snow Princess send from the North Pole to tell kids that Santa is coming soon. It’s so much fun to be a part of that magic and to carry on the fantasy in their minds.
Q: What’s the most interesting thing that’s happened to you on the job?
A: Well, one night I was proposed to, and the next night a little boy tried to look under my skirt! You meet a lot of really interesting people and something funny happens almost every night.
Q: How has this year’s Snowflake Lane changed from last year?
A: A lot has changed. We added a jumping stilt man and a choreographed Jingle Bell stage. Also, there is the new Princess Court where you can wait in line to take pictures with princesses and much more!
Join the festivities this holiday season! The performance begins every night through Dec. 31 at 7 p.m. at Bellevue Way and NE 8th Street. You can see Annie the Snow Princess keep the fantasy alive throughout the holidays!
