Cascade Foothills, Puyallup Valley Could See Snow by Mid-Week

The Cascade foothills and the Sumner and Bonney Lake region will likely get a dusting of snow on Wednesday night, as snow levels drop around the Puget Sound region.

In Sumner, the National Weather Service says snow and rain showers are likely after 10 p.m. on Wednesday. The snow level will be 1,000 feet, and little or no accumulation is expected.

On Thursday, the snow level will continue dropping to 300 feet, but the chance of precipitation will also decrease, to 30 percent with a mix of snow and rain expected.

Meanwhile, the mountain passes will see heavy snowfall into the middle of the week. Snoqualmie Pass is forecast to get 5-9 inches Tuesday and another 2-4 inches on Wednesday;  Stevens Pass could see accumulations above 15 inches by Thursday.
