Enumclaw Plane Crash Leaves 3 Injured
The small plane crashed near a playground Thursday night.

ENUMCLAW, WA - A small airplane crashed Thursday night near downtown Enumclaw leaving three people injured. The plane crashed around 9 p.m. Thursday at the Rainier Trails Park along 244th Avenue Southeast, which is just across the street from the Enumclaw Airport .
According to Enumclaw police, local residents began calling 911 around 8:55 p.m. about a downed plane in the park. At the scene, firefighters found the pilot pinned inside the plane. Firefighters extricated him and two other passengers. The pilot and one passenger were flown in a helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injures.
A third person in the plane was taken to Harborview in an ambulance, and was reportedly in satisfactory condition. The pilot was in critical condition, and the other passenger is in serious condition.

Police and the Federal Aviation Administration are still investigating the cause of the crash. Enumclaw police are asking anyone who saw or may have taken photos or video of the plane to contact the department at 360-825-3505.
