MIHS Drama Debuts Performance of 'Anitgone' Jan. 24

Performances are January 24-26, 30 and February 1-2, all at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 pre-sale, $15 at the door.

MIHS Drama Debuts Performance of 'Anitgone' Jan. 24

Mercer Island High School's drama production, "Antigone", debuts the winter season with this modern adaptation of the Greek tragedy by Sophocles, featuring the work of the Drama 2 students under the direction of MIHS Drama teacher Daniela Melgar.

According to the playbill, "A young girl defies her uncle, King Creon by burying her dead brother's body. She struggles against the law of the land and her family's fate as she searches for strength" in Jean Anouilh's Antigone.

Performances are January 24-26, 30 and February 1-2.

All performances are at 7:30 p.m., with pre-sale tickets sold for $10, $15 for tickets sold at the door at the MIHS Performing Arts Center. Tickets will be sold during both lunches starting the week of Jan. 14th. Tickets are also available for sale from any cast member.
