PUYALLUP, WA - All the occupants of three motorhomes affected by fire early Monday near the Puyallup River RV Park escaped without injury, according to Riverside Fire officials. The Fire Marshal is investigating a cause.
Pierce County Fire & Rescue dispatched crews to 30th Avenue and River Road east just after 7 a.m. Jan. 14 after receiving reports of a structure fire. Shortly after, Tacoma Fire and East Pierce Fire & Rescue crews were dispatched to assist.
The three agencies successfully gained control of the fire within 15 to 20 minutes, but they spent the next hour to an hour and a half knocking down hot spots; Riverside Fire shared on Twitter photos of the fire's aftermath around 9:15 a.m.

One motorhome was completely destroyed while two others were damaged by radiant heat, fire officials said. The sole occupant of the completely destroyed motorhome was reportedly assisted by the American Red Cross. The two other motorhomes are thought to have remained habitable, officials said.
Units arrived to find a fully involved large shed with extension into a motor home. All occupants escaped the motor home without injury. Fire Marshall is currently investigating cause.
