Friday, July 20

Theft: A 34-year-old Renton woman was arrested for theft at the 1800 block of 10th Ave NW.

Shoplifting: The same day, a shoplifter at a business on the 6100 block of E. Lake Sammamish Parkway SE got lucky, when the store’s loss prevention declined to pursue the matter criminally.

Saturday, July 21

Car prowls: A resident of the 18600 block of SE Newport Way reported that a $250 GPS unit was stolen from a Honda Civic.

Nearby, on the 18700 block of SE Newport Way, a 1999 Nissan Pathfinder was broken into, damaging the door, and tools stolen.

Sunday, July 22

Transients refuse to leave store: An Arco AM/PM store clerk called police when three transients, two men and a woman, refused to leave store property after spending a long time inside the store’s restroom.

Panhandlers: Two people panhandling on the 1700 block of Avenue NW at the I-90 off-ramp were told by police they could not be panhandling in the area.

Monday, July 23

Karate kids trip alarms at Grand Ridge Elementary: at the school at 1700 NE Park Drive, an alarm company reported multiple alarm trips, inside and outside the building. Police investigated and found a group of adults and kids practicing martial arts under the school’s bus shelter. Apparently a couple of the kids were thirsty and thought there was basketball practice at the school, so they tried to open several doors to get in and get some water.

DUI: A 55-year-old Carnation man was arrested on suspicion of DUI near the 200 Block of SE Andrews Street. His blood alcohol levels were taken at .084 and .086.

Domestic violence: Issaquah Police were called to a physical altercation on the 700 block of Front Street at about 11:30 p.m., where a 31-year-old Issaquah woman, was arrested for domestic violence.

Tuesday, July 24

Harassment: a 42-year-old Issaquah woman was arrested for harassment at 12:45 a.m. near the 4900 block of 193rd Place SE.

Loud kids: at around 4 a.m., a resident of the 200 block of Mountain Park Blvd. SW called police complaining of noise. When police arrived, they found three boys outside, who said they drank a little too much soda that night and were having trouble sleeping. The officer explained the noise complaint to them and they went inside.

Vehicle prowl: A car window on a Toyota Camry was damaged and a pocketbook was stolen on West Lake Sammamish Parkway SE and 184th; the total loss is estimated at $550.

Reckless skateboarder: Police took a phone report of a young man skateboarding in the middle of the street at high speeds while wearing headphones. The person who reported this went with the boy to his home and talked to his parents.

Vehicle prowl: The window on a 2003 Chevy Malibu was damaged in the process of a vehicle prowl at the 300 block of Rainier Blvd. N.

Thursday, July 26

Vehicle prowl suspect arrested: A 29-year-old Bothell woman was arrested on the 300 block of Shangri-La Way NW for a vehicle prowl in progress.

Drug paraphernalia found near museum: A resident brought a small black backpack they found near the Issaquah Historical Museum to the police department. The bag contained about 100 needles, evidence of drug paraphernalia, and some wet clothes.

Four car collision on Issaquah-Hobart Road: Issaquah police assisted the King County Sheriff’s Office with traffic control at the scene of a four-car collision at the 10300 block of Issaquah-Hobart Road SE.

DUI: A 61-year-old Issaquah man was arrested for DUI at Issaquah-Hobart Road SE and Front Street.
