Boat Fire In Seattle Creates Big Plume Of Smoke
The fire broke out around 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Eastlake neighborhood.

SEATTLE, WA — Three boats caught fire Friday morning on Lake Union, sending a plume of smoke into the skies over Puget Sound. The fire was out quickly, but not before destroying the boats and damaging a marina.
At around 10:30 a.m., Seattle firefighters and police boats responded to the blaze at a marina at Fairview and Garfield streets at the south end of the Eastlake neighborhood. The fire was out within about 30 minutes.
Seattle fire officials believe the fire started on one of the boats and then spread. One of the boats damaged in the fire was a yacht, the other two were small ferry vessels.
