Fire Crews Fight Multiple Blazes Along Interstate 5 In Seattle
Officials said multiple fires burned near Northgate and Bow Hill after flames spread from a motorhome.

SEATTLE — Seattle firefighters worked to contain multiple brush fires burning along the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 on Tuesday afternoon, with smoke visible around Northgate and Bow Hill. According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, a motorhome caught on fire around 12:30 p.m. and flames quickly spread along the side of the freeway.
Officials said brush fires were burning along the right shoulder of I-5, between North 92nd and 117th streets.
WSDOT said Seattle fire crews were working to extinguish the flames, and officials asked drivers heading to be prepared to slow down. Troopers closed the right northbound lane near the brush fires, and traffic cameras showed vehicles moving slowly through the area. The original RV fire continued to burn just south of Bow Hill, blocking northbound lanes at milepost 235.
