Fire At Seattle Marina Sinks 2 Boats; Pollution Cleanup Underway
Three boats burned at the Shilshole Bay Marina early Saturday morning, and now crews are cleaning up.

SEATTLE, WA - Three boats burned in an overnight fire at Shilshole Bay Marina in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood, according to the Seattle fire department.
Seattle fire reported the emergency at around 1 a.m. Saturday. Two of the boats that caught fire sank, and the third was heavily damaged. Fire crews and a Seattle police boat were involved in putting out the fire.
On Saturday morning, the U.S. Coast Guard reported that it and the state Department of Ecology were at the marina cleaning up and managing pollution. The marina is located just south of Golden Gardens Park along the west side of Ballard.
