The Museum of Pop Culture will host a celebration for the 20th anniversary of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame on March 4.

From the Museum of Pop Culture: The Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) will host a grand opening celebration for the 20th anniversary of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame honors the lives and legacies of science fiction and fantasy’s greatest creators and works. In honor of the milestone year, MoPOP is organizing a special exhibition to showcase all 108 current inductees through interpretive films, interactive kiosks, and rare artifacts. For the 20th anniversary, MoPOP will induct 20 new creators and creations in addition to its 2016 regular inductees: Star Trek, Blade Runner, and authors Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams.

The grand opening event will feature guests of honor: actor Aaron Douglas (Battlestar Galactica, Dirk Gently), Wende Doohan, wife of the late James Doohan (Scotty on Star Trek), Robyn Miller (co-creator of Myst), a Trek Talk panel exploring Star Trek’s 50-year impact on pop culture, fandom, and geekery; live music performances by Roladex, DJ Kate (False Prophets) and the all-female Wonder Woman-inspired marching band, Filthy FemCorps; themed gaming and activities; a costume parade; stellar photo ops; and more.
