Semi Driver Dies In Crash Along I-5 In Seattle
The semi trailer hit a pole in the southbound I-5 express lanes around 11 a.m. Monday.

SEATTLE, WA - The Seattle Fire Department is reporting that the driver of a semi trailer died in a crash in the I-5 express lanes Monday morning. The crash happened around 11 a.m. near Stewart Street in downtown Seattle. The semi driver reportedly hit a pole along the highway.
There were no other vehicles involved in the crash, according to Seattle fire.
At 7:30 p.m., Washington State Patrol identified the driver as John Gonzalez, 54. According to police, Gonzalez lost control of the semi while rounding a corner, causing him to crash into a concrete pylon along I-5.

UPDATE: Semi truck versus pole at SB I-5 express lanes at Stewart Street. No other vehicles involved. Semi truck driver was pronounced as a fatality.
