FOXBOROUGH, MA - Curtis product and the University of Maryland fell short in the NCAA Lacrosse National Title Game on Monday.

The Terps lost 9-3 to top-seeded Loyola (MD). It marked the second year in a row that the team reached the title game.

For Maryland, the loss comes two days after it bested Duke on Saturday, 16-10.

Carr is a 2009 graduate of Curtis, and he helped his team reach the NCAA Lacrosse Final Four by scoring a goal in its 11-5 upset of No. 2 John Hopkins a week ago.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound midfielder - whose younger brother, Colby, is - enjoyed a successful junior year in which he's scored six goals, two assists in 16 games, as well as 25 ground balls, according to the University of Maryland.

In his sophomore year, Carr had seven goals, an assist and 21 ground balls in 18 games.
