The National Weather Service issued a short term forecast for Woodinville at 2:55 p.m. June 20:

NOW... BRIEF HEAVY RAINS HAVE BEEN REPORTED WITH THE CONVERGENCE ZONE THAT IS STRADDLING THE BORDER BETWEEN KING AND SNOHOMISH COUNTIES. A WEATHER SPOTTER IN CLEARVIEW ESTIMATED THREE QUARTERS TO ONE INCH OF RAIN THAT FELL IN 45 MINUTES...WITH PONDING OF WATER ON LOCAL ROADWAYS. THE HEAVIEST SHOWERS ARE HEADING TO THE SOUTHEAST AND WILL ARRIVE IN DUVALL WITHIN THE NEXT TWENTY TO THIRTY MINUTES.
