Gun-Carrying School Bus Driver Arrested After Driving Under the Influence
A school bus driver was arrested all while carrying a gun and driving under the influence - all while transporting elementary school kids.

BROOKFIELD — A female bus driver has been arrested after authorities say she was driving under the influence and carrying a concealed weapon - all while driving elementary children to school.
On Friday, Dec. 24, the City of Brookfield police were contacted by staff at Swanson Elementary School, advising that a school bus driver was driving erratically, and was late dropping off students at the school.
According to information released by the Brookfield Police Department, police officers responded to the area of the school and located the suspected bus driver, just after it had dropped off students at the school.

In addition to determining that the bus driver was impaired, she was also determined that she was carrying a concealed handgun.
She was taken into custody. The following charges has been forwarded to the Waukesha County District Attorney's office: Operating Under the Influence, Operating Without Proper Commercial License Endorsements, Carrying a Concealed Firearm and Endangering Safety by Possession of a dangerous weapon while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, Negligent operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a firearm in a gun-free school zone.

She has been transferred to the Waukesha county jail, where she is awaiting formal charging.
