A new resale clothing store opened earlier this year on Bluemound Road, creating an opportunity for women to sell their designer clothing items and then, if they want, shop for something entirely different at the store.
The Clothes Mentor, 18000 W. Bluemound Road, Brookfield, opened Jan. 16. It’s the first store to open in southeastern Wisconsin.
“Today’s women are busier than ever between work and home and we opened Clothes Mentor to try and help by providing an efficient and effective way to recycle or change their wardrobes by paying cash-on-the-spot while allowing them to buy gently-used and new items at up to 70% less than mall store prices,” states an email from the owners to Patch.
Appointments are not necessary for those wishing to sell their in-style, brand name clothing.
“The Brookfield store is big and loaded with inventory that practically changes daily, and while meticulously organized by style, size and color, it can be a little overwhelming the first couple of times in the store,” the owners said in an email to Patch. “One of the most rewarding experiences is not only helping our guests find that perfect outfit or look that’s right for them, but also knowing that you gave them a fun and rewarding shopping experience by providing them with the highest quality and value for their hard earned money.”
The Clothes Mentor is owned by CC Retail Holdings, LLC, which is partially owned by Waukesha residents Rick and Cathy Karney, according to the owners. CC Retail Holdings is planning a second store near Southridge Mall with a projected opening in 2015.
