Video: Bayside Village Cleanup Roaring Success

Multiple local organizations including Patch and the Mark Travel Corporation pitched in Saturday to help with taking donations of everything from lumber and recyclables to latex paint and old computers.

Hundreds made their way through the DPW parking lot at Saturday to get rid of all kinds of things during the Spring Cleanup event.

This year, the village rerouted traffic through the DPW entrance and around the west side of Village Hall which staff said made the process much smoother than previous years. As residents drove in, Bayside Village Hall stuff and volunteers from Patch.com and the Mark Travel Corporation helped unload vehicles, sort items and drain out latex paint so it could be disposed of.

Patch will have an update later on the total amounts recycled, donated and disposed of a the event.
