Details on Homecoming Parades, Football Games

It’s homecoming week!

Both Greenfield and Whitnall high schools are celebrating the festive time of year with weeklong celebrations that began Monday and culminate with dances Saturday.

Sandwiched in between are plenty of school and community activities.

On Friday, the annual Greenfield High School homecoming parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. at 51st Street and Edgerton and proceed to the high school. Following the parade, the varsity Hustlin’ Hawks’ football team will take on the Brown Deer Falcons at 7 p.m., a game Greenfield must win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Capping this year’s homecoming week is the semi-formal dance from 8-11 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Tickets are no longer available for sale, according to the GHS website.

What's happening at Whitnall?

Whitnall celebrates its homecoming Friday starting with a parade that leaves Hales Corners Elementary School at 1 p.m. and will arrive at the high school in time for a 2 p.m. pep rally in the gymnasium.

Whitnall’s homecoming game is at 7 p.m. against the Cudahy Packers; the Falcons need a win to remain in contention for a Woodland Conference East title.

Before the game, the homecoming court and floats will be announced and there will be fireworks after the contest.

Saturday’s dance is from 7-10:30 p.m. in the gym; tickets are no longer available.

Remember last year’s homecoming festivities? Greenfield Patch took these photos from the WHS parade and spent time at the GHS parade as well.

Plan on taking great photos from the parades, dances or games? Upload them to this story, and we’ll be sure to feature them on the home page this weekend!
