UberDork Cafe- A Unique Cafe, Gaming Center, and Classroom Coming Soon to Menomonee Falls

No matter what your controller of choice, no matter how many sides on your favorite die, no matter how you get your game on, UberDork Cafe will meet your gaming needs. Come roll how you want to roll. Play how you want to play. Craft how you want to craft. Reconnect with an old pastime, or learn a new one through our art, science, or game classes, workshops, and demos.

Trying to figure out what console to buy? We’ll offer an intro to consoles class. Always wanted to tackle DnD but were scared to be a noob? We’ll teach you how to play. Saw something on Pinterest you wanted to try? We’ll hook you up. Sick of that giant rodent and yucky pizza for your parties? We’ll help you build a dream party that fits your budget. Just want to grab a cup of tea, sit on a comfy couch, and read or knit? That’s awesome, too. UberDork Cafe is a gathering place for you, for your friends, for those who want to come geek out.

UberDork Cafe is an open space cafe, gaming area, and class room. We’re starting with small snacks, ramen, coffee, tea, etc. and are all about the local- Stone Creek is our coffee vendor of choice, with Rishi for tea. The gaming area will have console gaming (from old school Atari, Nintendo Game Cube, PS2, etc) and board games as well. Basically, if you can play it, we’ll look into carrying it. The classes offered will be art and science based and geared toward kids and families. Everything from build your own robot out of recycled materials, to creating your own comics and zines. There’s plenty of space for parties as well. The whole focus is on basically providing a clubhouse for those that really don’t have one right now. We’ll have a drop in movie night on Fridays where parents may drop their kids off from 6-9 for less than hiring a sitter and the kids get to watch a movie, have a snack, and do a craft that corresponds with the movie.

Class and party options are wide open. We want people to be able to build things within their budget. We also want to be able to do things that support the community. My girls and I have made it a goal to spread Random Acts of Love so that will absolutely be carried through into the cafe. Our Geek Boutique will offer handmade awesomeness by local vendors and some not so local. And chocolates! Truffles and chocolates by Confections of a Chocoholic and amazing geek-themed creations by Sweets So Geek.

Then comes a tiny twist. Future Lotus, a great local tech consulting firm, will be occupying part of the space as well. So, during the day, the space will function as the perfect location for small business owners to come get tech, marketing, design, services and support. Future Lotus, and UberDork Designs both function under the goal of helping small local businesses have the tools they need to compete with the bigger businesses at prices they can afford.
