School Bus 'A Charred Wreck' After Fire Outside Montessori: Reports
The bus started smoking and caught fire, but the driver and others on board were able to escape to safety, according to WTMJ.
MILWAUKEE, WI — A school bus went up in flames Wednesday morning outside a Milwaukee Montessori school, according to reports.
Firefighters responded around 8 a.m. to Highland Community School, where they encountered the bus empty and aflame, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
The bus started smoking and caught fire, but the driver and others on board were able to escape to safety, according to WTMJ, which reported the driver was taken to a hospital “as a precaution.”

“The flames left the vehicle a charred wreck,” WTMJ reported, adding police do not believe the cause of the blaze is suspicious.
